UHP_typespiral2The Journal of Reflective Inquiry is a student-run undergraduate journal housed within the University Honors Program at NC State that publishes work on the general topic of research-in-progress.  The Journal of Reflective Inquiry is, therefore, not a typical undergraduate research journal which focuses exclusively on the research results of undergraduates. Instead, it is intended to focus broadly and critically how research and discovery happens across and between disciplines.  In this way, it attempts to encounter the human side of scholarship and research, as well as the nature of disciplinarity and knowing.

Under the discretion of an undergraduate editorial staff, it will include, but not be limited to, articles encountering research projects currently in process, narratives from undergraduate students reflecting on their undergraduate research experiences, and essays from faculty and students on the nature of disciplinary knowing, and discovery-, inquiry- and creativity-based learning.
